Ray Qu started his real estate career in 2008 and has worked in Barfoot & Thompson’s Central, Eastern and Southern offices. He has since been very successful in his career and in his first year in the industry, sold 22 properties to a value above $10 million. This was a major achievement especially in the tough market during that time.

Now working for the Browns Bay branch, Ray’s success continues. His success not driven by luck but through a structured, focused work ethic, a ‘never give up’ attitude and not to mention strong negotiation skills.

His decision to join the Browns Bay branch was driven by his strong belief that the North Shore (Bay area) is an upcoming area with great potential for first home buyers and investors. Working for Barfoot & Thompson offers him a wealth of knowledge from over 1300 other salespeople working together to help find you your dream home. Ray knows this area and the wider Auckland real estate market well offering you insight into the area that would best suit you.

Ray came to New Zealand in 1997 and completed a Bachelor of Science (double major) at the University of Otago. He then ran a photo shop and copy centre in Epsom and Remuera. His experience specialising in photos, flyers, signage and catalogues enables him to put effective marketing material together for his clients.

Ray also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Shenyang University of Technology. He worked in China for a top industrial instrumentation factory (Technology and Sales Department) for over ten years and this background helped him develop strong skills in marketing, public relationship, client service and negotiation.

Ray loves his job and is true and sincere in his approach. Working very hard to build a solid reputation among his clients, his focus is to impress. If you are thinking of buying or selling, Ray would love to help you through it.
